Create reference… A reference is a unique text string referring to a node in a model. This text string can then be used as a parameter (“a”, “b”,…) in edge functions. If e.g., the model contains a parameter which is used in many edge functions, you may create a node with this parameter value and then create a reference to this node. The reference can then be used in all the edge functions. If you want to change the parameter value, you just edit the node value. You may also introduce stochastic parameters in the edge functions by using references to stochastic nodes. Select a node or a group of nodes. Select “Create reference...” and a dialog box appears where you can specify the unique text strings. Show reference… Shows a list of all references in the active model. You can use this to find out which nodes the references are attached to, and search for edges which use these references.
